Hello everyone!
It has been a long time since I have written a blog post but I figured I would share with you some of the things that I have grown to cherish during this mandated at stay at home period. If you're like me, then you cannot sit still and are constantly wanting to do something in the house. These are the things that have helped make the time go by and also helped me mentally.
The number one thing on my list would be my stationary bike. When the gyms closed down and I realized I wouldn't be able to go ride the bikes there I knew immediately that I needed to get one for our home. My husband isn't big on having exercise equipment in the home so I needed to get something that was compact and fairly inexpensive since it was going to be "Oh, I didn't mention I bought this?" type of thing when it got here.
I present to you the inexpensive exercise bike that I love! I am also linking one that my friend got that is very similar that she loves too. This has been the best purchase since the quarantine. I have ridden over 200 miles on it already.

The second thing would absolutely have to be my kindle. I ended up buying myself a Kindle because I asked for one for Christmas and then my birthday last year and it sadly never came. So, I took matters into my own hands and got this bad boy. Let me just tell you how much I love it! This little dude is waterproof so you can read in the bath (or at the pool if you fancy). The screen is adjustable so you can read in the dark, sunlight, or whatever dim light setting you are accustomed too. With Kindle Unlimited, $9.99 a month, you can check out a load of books that are trending instead of spending the $15 plus on every single hardback that catches your fancy. If you do not like clutter then this little guy helps you in that department too. One device = more books than you can possibly read. Having a kindle also puts a stop to "You bought another book?!" because now they never know.

If you follow me on Instagram you know I am constantly reading on this device. It is so easy on the eyes. You can even listen to audible books too. If you have an avid reader in the family this would also be an excellent gift. I got mine in black but there is also a blue version as well.
For those of you who work at Emory (like I do) or go to school at Emory, you can rent books from the school's library for free and read them on your kindle. I have only purchased three books of the 57 I have read since last November.
